How do I record a video?
Open the app and tap the big camera button on the recording screen. The app
will record exactly one second of video.
Can I import videos from my library?
Yes! Tap the library icon on the recording screen to select a video. You'll be
able to choose a 1-second segment from any video in your library.
Where are my videos stored?
Privacy is our priority. All your videos are stored locally on your device. We
do not upload your videos to any servers.
How do I create a movie of my month/year?
Go to the Timeline view and tap the "Export" or "Stitch" button. The app will
combine all your daily seconds into one seamless movie.
Troubleshooting
Camera or Microphone not working
If you're having trouble recording, please ensure Life Second By Second has permission to access your camera and microphone:
- Open iOS Settings
- Scroll down and tap Life Second By Second
- Ensure Camera and Microphone switches are turned ON
Missing Reminders
To receive daily reminders to record your second:
- Open iOS Settings > Notifications
- Find Life Second By Second in the list
- Ensure Allow Notifications is enabled
